Loot: Same amount every time, items vary prompt to prompt Success chance: 100%! Pools of the Niravar offers a story-based progression system consisting of a series of prompts and checkpoints that follow a Niravar's journey in their region of choice. Storylines are the main way of developing your Niravar and moving them through the group's multiple ranks, starting with 'Denizen' and ending with 'Sovereign'.
Progressing through one of the group's Storylines awards:
Storylines are meant to be completed over a long period of time and contain a multitude of checkpoints, which will require you to have participated in other areas of the game before progressing. |

How to Approach Storyline Prompts
When creating an entry based on a Storyline prompt you received, make sure your image or story contains the following: The environment depicted in the prompt should always match the region the Storyline takes place in unless described otherwise. If any of the other elements listed above aren't included in your prompt, you are free to depict them as you wish.

Ashki - Prompt 8A-1 "Good," Venrika nods, "I had a feeling you were the right choice. A wise future ruler, eh?" He looks up at one of the nearby houses, eyeing the empty stalls and boxes pushed up against the wall. Finally, he turns back to you. "I'll lead you to our hideout. Try to keep up!" And with that, he jumps up on one of the stalls, up onto a stack of boxes, and onto the low roof of the nearby building. Your Niravar scrambles to follow and, just upon reaching the edge of the roof, sees Venrika jumping onto another building. His silhouette almost gets lost in the late afternoon light blanketing the buildings, but if you squint, you just barely see where he is. Show your Niravar traversing the city roofs with Venrika. |
* If two of your own Niravar are completing a storyline together, please link both of their imports and trackers in one comment. If the other Niravar is owned by someone else, the submissions should be separate.
** Storyline Familiars are familiars sold in our sales and found in Familiar Crates. They grant a 25% chance of bringing back an item from a storyline entry when drawn alongside the Niravar. They include the Petal Shoveller, the Rosy Stegolin, and others.

Each Storyline option below will contain a short excerpt from one of its prompts, requirements for your Niravar to participate in it, and two panels: "Summary" and "Starting Prompt".
- The summary is, as the name implies, a quick rundown of the story. It is spoiler-free, and it goes over the premise of the storyline. Your Niravar does not know any information contained within the summary until it is revealed to them when doing the actual storyline.
- E.g. when a storyline lists that your Niravar has been invited somewhere, that invitation shows up around prompt 5 or 6 in the storyline, and it's not already there from prompt 1!
- The starting prompt is how you participate in the Storyline in question. Draw an image or write a story responding to the prompt and you can get started on your journey!

Frequently Asked Questions
Not at all! Storylines and general Activity Rolls have separate monthly limits - Storylines are limited to 36 entries per month, whereas ARs are limited to 15.
The background does not have to match the prompt 1:1 - if it had to, we might as well have turned this activity into printable coloring books! What the rules outlined above are meant to convey, however, is that Storylines cannot be completed by drawing the Niravar in a meadow with bushes, rocks and trees eighteen times in a row. If the prompt asks for a city setting at night, what matters is not that every single crate or brick mentioned in the description is portrayed, but that the overall background matches the theme (e.g. isn't a village shown during the day).
Yes! As long as your Niravar fulfills all the requirements for having a Glamour Medallion count in official art, you can complete the Storyline using one of their Glamour Medallion forms. However, Rites will still need to be completed using their Niravar form.
Your Niravar will need their stats assigned (all Niravar uploaded after June 2022 already have them!), and you will need a Progress Tracker for them - otherwise, you're good to go!
The short answer is no. The lore-based storylines rely on you following the official group lore. Nobody will prevent you from starting the Grandiaga storyline with this Niravar, but seeing as King Meothion, the king of Grandiaga in our official lore, plays a large part in it, you would have to make drastic changes to your interpretation of the lore to complete this storyline, as entries depicting your Niravar as the ruler of Grandiaga would not be accepted.
For Niravar relying on drastic changes to the story, we recommend the “Choose Your Own” storyline - it isn’t connected to the group lore, and you can make the prompt entries whatever you want! However, Niravar who have already made a name for themselves in the region of their choice prior to starting the relevant storyline will be able to progress through it normally, albeit with some liberties taken when interpreting the prompts. As much as we’d like to make the storylines personalised for every type of Niravar, it isn’t quite feasible - but we hope you enjoy them nonetheless!
Each storyline contains 18 prompts, out of which 9 give loot. The loot is pulled from our activity rolls - sometimes, you might get loot from Hunting, sometimes from Questing, and sometimes from Gardening, or the Ardorsurge, or any other activity one can do in the group.
Your Niravar's buffs, boons, gear etc. DO NOT apply to this roll. The roll has no dynamic slider for the amount of loot you get. You will always get 5 items.
XP System Transfer
- Only the rank recorded on your Niravar's import affects this process. If your Niravar is at 160XP but their import still says Denizen because they were never submitted for an official rank-up, they will be considered Denizen regardless of how much XP they have. The deadline for XP rank-ups has passed, and we will not take into account any XP past your Niravar's current rank.
- Sovereign Niravar can be transferred to the Chancellor milestone if you wish to earn the rest of the storyline rewards with them. This is the only way to earn storyline rewards (including the final, completion rewards) with a Sovereign Niravar. If you are not interested in the storyline rewards, you don't have to do anything with your Sovereign Niravar to transfer them.
A. Skipping to your Niravar's rank milestone
B. Completing the storyline from the start
