A Strange New Neighbor
While Niravar are native to Terran, humans and humanoids are entirely foreign. They entered the world through Terran's many Aether Pools roughly a century after the Cataclysm, and some have stayed to set up permanent residence next to their feline friends. With them, humans have brought technology, such as electricity, though its spread is limited - Niravar have replaced much of what humans use their technology for with magic, and for the most part prefer to use magic in their day-to-day lives.
No human or humanoid in Terran possesses magic. While some early technological advancements survive the trip through the Aether Pool, any magic or modern technology brought through vanishes or ceases to work. Due to this, it is incredibly rare to see a purely human settlement anywhere in Terran, as the world's population of Void Reapers would have been quick to destroy it, being invulnerable to anything save for magic. The earliest humanoid inhabitants of Terran worked tirelessly to rebuild civilization after the Cataclysm alongside their Niravar friends. Due to this centuries old cooperation, humans and Niravar coexist in Terran on fairly friendly terms. In positions of power, Niravar are noticeably more common, as they are more in tune with the magical nature of Terran and more familiar with the world than their human counterparts would be. Many humans accept Niravar as somewhat superior to them in terms of abilities and resilience, though there are a few who question the feline race's claim on Terran. |
All shapes and sizes
Through the Aether Pools, many different humanoid races have entered Terran. Some have animal features, some do not, and some are actually Niravar glamored to resemble a human. There is no predominant 'type' of humanoid in Terran.
