Prerequisites: Drops + Must have a bug equipped
Loot: Same across all Ranks Success chance: Competition (Win/Loss) Bug Racing is an ancient sport long practiced on Terran even before the Cataclysm. The bugs used in racing vary greatly in size and appearance and the winning bugs are often treated like royalty for the duration of their short lives. While most bug races are held in accordance with the law and publicly, there are rumors that illicit Bug Racing competitions can be found in the Black Belly - the questionable underground of Hanor. Bug racing offers two modes:
PvPIn this mode, you will compete against another player's bug. Each of the two race participants completes their own entry, and the two bugs' stats and gear will decide who wins! PvEDon't have a racing partner? That's okay! Here, your Niravar's bug competes against Katreya S021 and her Radiant Scarab - Shoes. You create one art piece per race in this mode. |
Bug CoinsBug Racing awards the mutation currency known as Bug Coins. These coins were created by Buglorde S037, the current champion of Bug Racing across the globe. These magically enchanted Bug Coins allow your Niravar to show off some special bug-themed mutations, which can be explored here. In addition, you can exchange 20 Bug Coins for a special racing Bug - the Radiant Scarab. See the Bugs & Bug Stats guide for more information on it! |

Racing Courses
This course takes place on the slippery surface of a frozen lake! The course features small ice tunnels that dive a few inches into the thick ice before launching into a slippery ramp. It's easy to gain air on this track and quick bugs will find their speed could be their worst enemy as they deal with the sharp turns and icy terrain. Flying is not allowed in this course. Tightrope This course takes place on a narrow, winding tightrope. With no room for error, your bug must use all of their focus to keep their balance as they navigate the single rope that twists and weaves into a hard to navigate jungle-gym. Watch out for other bugs trying to knock you off! There is no flying allowed in this course. |
This course features small hoops magically enchanted to float freely anywhere from a few inches above the ground to several feet. It'll take a dexterous bug to overcome the highs and lows of this course. The goal is for your bug to make it through as many hoops as quickly as possible. Flying is allowed. Waterway Lily Jump This course takes place in one of the many garden ponds in Brillia, the capital of Grandiaga. Here your bug must leap from lilypad to lilypad, avoiding the water and hungry koi fish below! There is no flying allowed in this course unless you have to escape being eaten. |
This course takes place in the tall palm trees that thrive along the coast of Djama. The course features a climb of endurance as the bugs must first climb up the long arching trunk of a palm tree. The wide leaves make this race mostly safe but watch out for hungry Twocans! Flying is only allowed to escape a Twocan. Vine Climb This course takes place in the jungles of Sarthia. This course features a vertical race through heavy vines and leaves that can ensnare even the most careful bug. It'll take some quick thinking and a bit of luck to make it through, but the first bug to the top of the wooden platform will claim first place! Flying is not allowed on this course. |
