Common new user mistakes
Incorrectly counted background elements.
Backgrounds submitted for group activities require a specific number of elements. These are not individual items placed around your image and have specific rules pertaining to them. We know editing visual art is frustrating, which is why we recommend giving the Requirements a read before making entries. Read the BG detail section in our Art Requirements guide to learn more. |
Not using the website for navigation.
All of our information as well as all relevant links are hosted on this site. We only use DeviantArt to host the actual threads that requests and submissions are posted in. We retain all old and inactive journals for archiving purposes, but the information in them is outdated. Please only refer to the Weebly for links to current activities and any information about the game. |
Skipping the Design Walkthrough.
We get it - you've designed ARPG critters before, you don't want to go through a step-by-step guide meant for newer members because you already have experience. But our Design Walkthrough simultaneously acts as a storage for all our general design rules, so all users new to this group specifically should at least look through it once to avoid getting corrections.
