Marking Range
Crackle may almost cover the entire body, but should leave roughly 5% of the underlying base coat showing.
The minimum coverage may appear anywhere within the maximum range but must cover roughly 20% of the body.

Examples
Any section of Crackle will have its own outline. This outline may be black or a darker color derived from the base coat. The outline should always be obvious in the design. Crackle must always be somewhat visible, even on light base coats like Moonstone!
|
Approximately 5% of the base coat should be left uncovered by Crackle.
Horns, claws, pawpads, flesh and teeth will not be affected by Crackle. |
Crackle may have a hard or semi-soft edge. Both parts of the marking must match in edge hardness.
|
If Crackle and Blackout both appear on the same design, they should not overlap.
Their outlines should always be visible. |
The below examples illustrate what you shouldn't do with Crackle.
Being freeform, Crackle allows for a lot of flexibility in how the marking presents on the Niravar.
However, there are a few things that it cannot do, namely 'cut-out' shapes or patterns from the white to create unnatural shapes, or to replicate another marking.
